Film and Television

I have made three feature films and various short films. Here is a brief selection.

My first feature, Do I Love You? (2003) asked the question, why am I a lesbian? The British Film Institute put it in their top 10 lesbian films. Curve Magazine, USA, called it “one of the two or three best lesbian films ever, you heard me, ever!”

Here is a clip from the film with Ruth Posner playing Pamela the mother of Marina exploring what’s happening to her daughter?

My second feature is Tick Tock Lullaby (2007) and is about the ambivalence around having children.

Here is a scene from the film with Raquel Cassidy, Jake Canuso and Lisa Gornick.

Here is another scene with Sarah Patterson and Matthew Parish. This is the fictional story by Sasha the artist around how the straight single woman tries to find a sperm donor.

My third feature, The Book of Gabrielle, is about a woman drawing a sex book who meets a writer she admires who then gets drawn to her ideas. The film is accompanied by a live drawing show, How To Do It, and an accompanying book, also called, How To Do It, which is also the book with the film that Gabrielle is drawing.

My short films include, Dip, made for Channel 4, UK starring Robert Sheehan and Said Mohammed about grief played out on London nightbuses. Here is a clip with them both.
